Manne is the founder of The Liora Manne company. She started her company in 1990 with the idea to create material for a variety of end uses. This concept led her to focus more on home fashion textiles. Since then, they have produced many bold, contemporary colored, custom rugs, cushions, wall coverings, and furniture textiles by using fiber and needle punch technology called the Lamontage process.
Our students will have opportunity to design and create new products using the Lamontage process. In May 2017, student work will be exhibited at Liora’s showroom in New York City. During the exhibition the top three projects will be awarded prizes, along with the possibility of an internship for those students.
As Marcia Weiss stated during the meeting “We know that you, our students, are incredibly talented, it is time the world knows it too.”
