Langhorne Carpet Company has welcomed a new look of their original 20'-by-40' painted signage on the red brick of their historical location, Bucks County Wilton Jacquard mill. This Vital sign is a project of Temple Contemporary of the Tyler School of Arts of Temple University. The fourth generation owners of the company, Winnifred and Bill Morrow, decided to choose a simplified version of the original signs, which has been painted over multiple times.
Langhorne Carpet is one of the few remaining wool Wilton Jacquard mills in North America, and their woven carpets can be found in some of America's most significant buildings. We are also proud to note that this remarkable company's designer is Andrea Perlman a PhilaU alumni, and their current intern is Lydia Whitford an
undergraduate Textile Design student.
